Compatible Lands Foundation (CLF) is pleased to announce that Jenny Carter has joined CLF as the Director of Strategy and Operations.
Ms. Carter comes to CLF from the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University, where she served as the Director of the Global Consortium of Sustainability Outcomes. Carter has decades of experience working to implement sustainable solutions and protect our nation’s natural resources. Her professional background includes working in Washington DC on national environmental legislation, as well as leading several conservation organizations and community-based initiatives in Washington State and Vermont.
“Growing up on the Olympic Peninsula of the Pacific Northwest, I have a deep appreciation of unique landscapes and the important role communities and landowners play in helping to protect open space and natural resources,” says Ms. Carter. “I am honored to join CLF and use my knowledge and experience to support its valuable mission.”
Jenny earned a J.D. from the Vermont Law School and a B.A. in Zoology from the University of Washington. When not in the office working to protect open spaces, she spends her time exploring the Sonoran desert surrounding her home.
“CLF is pleased that Jenny has joined our team,” says Robert Gregory, Executive Director of Compatible Lands Foundation. “Jenny brings strategic and operational expertise to CLF that will help us effectively advance our projects and partnerships and ensure effective management and stewardship of CLF easements.”
Founded in 2009, the mission of Compatible Lands Foundation is to promote the conservation, restoration, and preservation of land and natural resources and to foster compatible land uses among both private and public landowners.
